Animatronic Muppet

This project is an in-progress custom audio-animatronic puppet designed to combine expressive character performance with integrated mechanical systems. The build incorporates servo- and pneumatic-driven actuation, digital sculpting in ZBrush, and mechanical design in SolidWorks to create a lifelike, muppet-inspired character. From shell fabrication to motion programming, the project explores the intersection of engineering and storytelling as it develops toward a fully functional, production-ready animatronic.

DJ-R3X Animatronic

This project is an in-progress full-scale audio-animatronic build of DJ R-3X inspired by Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. As Project Lead, I oversee an interdisciplinary team through design, fabrication, and system integration, combining SolidWorks-based mechanical design, control systems programming, and hands-on manufacturing including welding and 3D printing. The animatronic features expressive motion programmed in Bottango, multi-axis actuation, and detailed finishing elements such as LED integration. The project continues to evolve as we refine performance, expand functionality, and move toward a fully realized, production-ready character.
